Located at 2040 Park Avenue, Old Park Bar carries forward the history of one of downtown Detroit’s most familiar neighborhood watering holes.

Park Avenue was developed during Detroit’s 1920s automotive boom as an upscale corridor of offices, hotels, clubs and residences. Following decades of decline, the area began experiencing renewed investment in the early 2000s, supported by its proximity to Grand Circus Park, the Fox Theatre and Comerica Park.

The original Park Bar became a favorite stop for locals, downtown workers, sports fans and concertgoers during the revitalization of the Park Avenue entertainment district.

In mid-2026, the bar returned to its roots as Old Park Bar—a familiar Detroit gathering place entering a new chapter.
